  • John Farmer, Jr

    PRESIDENT

    Fire Captain John Farmer, Jr. is a distinguished leader in the field of fire safety. He holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Management from Bellevue University. His commitment to achieving excellence in emergency management led him to pursue extensive training and certifications, including a Nebraska Law Enforcement Certification and National Fire Academy training. Notably, Captain Farmer's dedication extends beyond his professional achievements. He has garnered community recognition, including an Omaha Fire Department Code Save Citation and the Omaha Fire Department Life Saving Citation.

    Captain Farmer actively engages in volunteerism. He has supported community initiatives like the Heart Ministry Center Food Pantry in 2020 and 2021, participated annually in the Muscular Dystrophy Association Fill the Boot campaign, and contributed to events such as the Anchor Lodge #14 Health Care Fair, Brush Up Nebraska, Habitat for Humanity and supporting the Salvation Army.

  • Jason Gentry

    VICE PRESIDENT

    Jason Gentry, a seasoned firefighter with more than 11 years of experience, is a true hero in his community. His dedication to protecting lives and property has earned him the respect and admiration of those he serves.

    Gentry has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to the Omaha community. He was honored with the prestigious Martin Luther King Jr.’s Living The Dream Award, a testament to his commitment to equality, justice, and community service.

    Outside the firehouse, Gentry’s passions are diverse. In his spare time, he enjoys a good workout, writing and reading poetry, and creating music. Beyond his professional and artistic pursuits, he is a devoted father of four. He embodies the values of courage, compassion, and creativity, making him an inspiration to all.

  • Rashad Dacus

    TREASURER

    Born and raised in Omaha, Rashad Dacus personifies the core values of community, family, and a commitment to excellence. A Fire Apparatus Engineer with the Omaha Fire Department, Dacus has devoted more than 10 years to the department. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems from Loras College and an associate degree in Fire Science Technology from Metropolitan Community College. His impressive certifications include Fire Officer I, Fire Instructor I & II, and Incident Safety Officer, underscoring his commitment to the highest standards of safety and leadership.

    Outside his professional life, Dacus, a father of three and loving husband, finds fulfillment in spending quality time with his friends and family. His volunteerism within the Omaha community is a testament to his enduring dedication to giving back. Notably, Dacus organized and directed a charity 5k Walk and Run in honor of a fallen colleague, with all proceeds directed towards the First Responders Foundation.
